Boys and Reading Posters.
From our work in conjunction with the Equality Learning Centre (see What we do), we have produced a set of posters aimed at encouraging fathers' involvement in reading with their sons.
Fatherhood Pack and Posters.
Materials developed from the Fatherhood Project (see What we do) are accompanied by a set of posters promoting men's involvement with their sons.
Fathers Talking (young, unemployed and unmarried...)
Justin Rolph has interviewed young fathers about their lives and their relationship with their children. This booklet, in our Advocacy Series, explores and explodes many of the myths about young fathers.
PhotoPack - Relationships and Intimacy.
This set of 44 black and white photographs cover a range of relationships and levels of intimacy and follows up our already successful "Male Image Photopack".
The Relationship Game
This new boardgame and pack of curriculum materials aims to enable young men and women (aged 14 upwards) to develop awareness and skills in negotiating roles and responsibilities within a relationship. This is for use within Personal Health and Social Education (PHSE), youth work and other informal settings as well as part of the post-16 college curriculum. This is our first attempt at developing materials to be used with both young men and women.
Men's Health Briefing Papers
We have continued to be involved in the Men's Health Forum and have written a further Briefing Paper on 'Inequalities in Health'. This Briefing Paper is targeted at those within health services, government and the media who are interested in where men's health fits. Launch expected in October 1999.
Men's Health Resources Directory
We were commissioned by The Health Education Authority to produce a directory of resources that professionals can use in their work with men. This publication will be available in book form in October 1999 and is already available on the Web.
Promoting Men's Health
Commissioned by the publishers Balliere Tindall, WWM is editing a guide for practitioners. As well as background material on men's health and a guide to current debates, the book will mostly consist of contributions from practitioners, managers and researchers in the field. Publication will be in early 2000.
Domestic Violence Project Directory
We are currently working with the Domestic Violence Practitioners Network to produce a comprehensive directory of projects.
PhotoPack -'Gender and Work'
This is another resource, similar in design to the 'Male Image Photopack'. To be published in early 2000.
The Men's Bulletin
This is a service aimed at advice columnists ('agony aunts') and will aim to keep them abreast of current developments in work and research on men's and boys' issues.
